You can use the Past Procedures module to add records about procedures a patient has undergone in the past, such as those performed by another practice.
You can add a past procedure by selecting the plus icon in the Past Procedures module and filling out the details of the window.
- Click the + icon within the Past Procedures module.
- The New Past Procedure window will open.
- Enter the name of the patient's previous surgery.
- Enter the date, if known.
- Enter any notes as needed.
- Press SAVE.
Note: If there are no matches when adding procedure name, you can simply move to the next field and your entered text will be retained.
The new entry will be added to the patient's Past Procedures module, along with the date (if entered).
Edit or Delete Past Procedures
You can make changes to a Past Procedures by clicking on it from the list of procedures in this module.
In this window, you can make any required changes, or you can choose the DELETE button to remove this procedure from the patient's record.

The Procedures lists (including Past Procedures) are provided by SNOMED and cannot be added to or edited.
You can add your own Procedure name ad hoc, however it will not be saved to the list for future use.
> Will my procedures move to Past Procedures once complete?
Your completed procedures will not appear in Past Procedures automatically. You can manually add a record for any procedures you perform if you wish for them to appear in this list.
