Consults allow you to keep records for each contact you have with a patient.
By default, the Consult window is will display segments for Reason for encounter, History, Examination and Plan, however this can be customised to add or remove segments. Please see the Custom Consult Notes page for more information.
To add a consult within Gentu:

- Select ADD >
Consult Note.
- Gentu will open a New Consult Note window in the Clinical tab of the Patient Record.
- Fill in the required information.

You will note that Gentu will automatically populate the date and time that New Consult Note was opened. You can edit the date and time manually if needed.

You can select a deleted Consult Note to view all its details.
To restore a consult:
- With Show Deleted enabled (as per above), select the Consult Note from the list.
