When does this error appear?
This error will usually appear when attempting to send an ECLIPSE, Bulk Bill or DVA claim to Medicare, with restrictive overrides applied to some items on the invoice. The error message may also be presented as: Restrictive Override Code must only be set when Claim Type Code is set to PC (Patient Claim).
What does this error mean?
Medicare are not able to receive ECLIPSE, Bulk Bill and DVA claims that contain items with restrictive overrides set against them. Medicare are advising these can only be used for Patient Claims.
How do I resolve this error?
To resolve this error, review the overrides you have selected for each item and and ensure you have the 'None' radio button selected for 'Not Restrictive', as seen in the below screenshot example:
If you need to include an override on an ECLIPSE, Bulk Bill or DVA claim, you can use the three checkboxes located at the top of the overrides window (Not Duplicate Service, Not Multiple Procedure, Not Normal Aftercare), accompanied by any service text that may be required.
