When using voice commands with Dragon Medical One (DMO), you may find that sometimes your commands are being transcribed as text incorrectly. This means that Dragon did not complete the command and you will need to voice the command again. There are a couple of reasons as to why this may occur.
When speaking a voice command, you will need to pause slightly before and/or after you speak the command to ensure that Dragon understands the command properly.
Incorrect command name
If you are pausing correctly but Dragon still doesn't understand the voice command, ensure you are using the correct command name (e.g. incorrectly saying "highlight that" instead of "select that").
For a list of all in-build voice commands, please see our "What You Can Say" article.
If you need to remove the text that was placed in your dictation incorrectly, simply say "scratch that" and this will remove the last text you uttered. You can then continue on with your dictation, ensuring that you are pausing before and after each command and speaking the correct command name.
