As of Wednesday 1 December 2021, BUPA have made some changes to their Medical Gap Scheme (Scheme) and Scheme Terms and Conditions. This means that specialists can register for either "Known Gap" or "No Gap" claims, and have the correct fees automatically apply to their claims depending on their agreement.
What is changing in Gentu?
If you have configured your practitioners correctly, you will not need to perform any additional steps. To double-check that you are set up and ready to start claiming, follow the below steps.
- Navigate to Settings > Health Funds.
- Select BUPA Australia from the list.
- In the Practitioner Details area, click on each provider's name and ensure the Fee Schedule drop-down is set to either Bupa No Gap or Bupa Known Gap as appropriate.
Gentu will have automatically selected the appropriate schedule based on the practitioner's billing type (i.e. Known Gap or No Gap), however, you can change the Fee Schedule and Billing Type drop-downs if this is no longer appropriate.
- Click the button against each provider if any changes are made.
Repeat the steps above for any BUPA subsidiary funds (e.g. ANZ Health, HBA, Health Cover Direct, MBF, and Mutual Community).
