While you can upload your specialist letters to My Health Record (MHR), you may come across a circumstance where you need to either supersede an existing letter, or delete it from My Health Record entirely.
Before you begin
You must have completed the registration and activation steps to have My Health Record communicating with Gentu. If you have not done this, navigate to our Getting started with My Health Record article to set up your practice.
Deleting a letter from My Health Record
To delete a letter from a patient's My Health Record, navigate to Results / Letters > Outgoing Correspondence and locate your letter in the Sent tab. Click the options icon on the right of the letter and choose to Remove letter from MHR.
Upon clicking the Remove letter from MHR option, you will receive a confirmation prompt as below where you must choose a reason for deleting the letter from MHR, then hit Confirm.
Superseding a letter from My Health Record
If you have uploaded a letter but need to make some changes, you can supersede this letter from within Gentu. This is done by creating a new letter (Add > Letter) with the appropriate changes required. You will see that the Print and Send button now has an additional option when clicking the arrow to Print, Send and Replace last letter sent to MHR.
Upon choosing this option, Gentu will upload the letter and replace the last letter sent to My Health Record by your practice for this patient.
