If you have set your Gentu practice up with My Health Record (MHR) access, you can now upload specialist letters directly to a patient's My Health Record.
Before you begin
You must have completed the registration and activation steps to have My Health Record communicating with Gentu. If you have not done this, navigate to our Getting started with My Health Record article to set up your practice.
To upload specialist letters, you need to be logged in as a user that has an active HPI-I (Healthcare Provider Identifier - Individual) in their user settings (Settings > Manage Users).
Uploading a letter
To upload a specialist letter from Gentu, the patient must have an IHI listed in their patient details.
When you create a letter through Add > Letter in a patient's file, you will notice a Send letter to My Health Record checkbox at the bottom of the letter.
This is ticked automatically for all patients with an IHI unless the Patient consents to upload to My Health Record checkbox in their patient details is unticked.
Upon clicking Save or Print and Send, the letter will automatically be uploaded to the patient's My Health Record.
