All areas within Results / Letters include the ability to filter records by a practitioner or a patient.
Gentu's Provider Filter can be used to focus on what is addressed to you, so contents received for other providers can be removed from your view. This content will be matched to a provider based on the addressee's provider number in the file received.
Applying a filter is easy - from the Results / Letters window, a dropdown menu is available at the top of the window. Here, you can specify a practitioner, and Gentu will display all records that matched the addressee. The list of providers available is populated by users who are marked as Billing Providers in their User Preferences.
The list of practitioners also includes Unspecified, which will display contents Gentu was unable to match with an active Billing Provider. There can be a number of reasons for content to be Unspecified:
- The user is not configured as a Billing Provider. This can include former providers no longer seeing patients in this system.
- The provider has not entered the site of service in their User Preferences.
In addition to filtering by a provider, you also search for a specific patient to locate all reports in Unlinked, Pending, and Linked. This filter works by typing in the patient's name, date of birth, or mobile phone number. Gentu will suggest potential matches, and you can choose a patient to view all content in this status.
- In Unlinked and Pending, Gentu will display any patients it finds matching your search based on both the Matched and Linked patient information.
- In Linked, Gentu will display patients it finds that match your search based on the Linked patient information.
Note: If you have a Provider filter set, Gentu may not display all items relevant to the patient. You may wish to remove the Provider filter to view all results or letters.
Patient Filters can also be accessed directly from the Patient Record, by selecting the Diagnostic Requests or Correspondence icons from the header.
