Gentu includes a Notes feature, which allows you to write a note or summary about a result or letter for a quick revision in the future.
In this article:
Notes can be added in several areas of Gentu.
- In Results / Letters
- Diagnostic Reports
- Incoming Correspondence
- Outgoing Correspondence
- In Clinical
- Consults
- Letters
- Results
- Procedures
- Attachments
- Pregnancy Records
In each area, there are two methods for adding a Note.
- On the tile, choose the menu icon, then select Note.
- Select the Note
icon from the top right corner of the preview.
An Add Note window will open, and you can enter any information necessary. Once complete, select the SAVE button to finalise the entry.
When a Note has been added to an item, a pink Note message will appear against the tile.
When you select this tile to view the item, you can view the details of the note above the record. This will display the first three lines of the note.
A Note can be edited by selecting the Note icon (as if adding a new Note), or by clicking on the Note itself. This will display an Edit Note window, which will also allow you to view who added the note, and when it was created.
Selecting an existing Note will also provide you with the option to DELETE, should it no longer be required.
> Is there a limit on how much text can be entered?
There are no limits to the amount of text that can be entered on a Note, however only the first three lines will be displayed when previewing a file. You can click on the Note to open it and view the entry in full.
> Can I have more than one Note?
Only one Note can be entered per record, however you can add to an existing Note, or delete the Note to start over.
> Who can add notes?
All users are able to add notes.
