From time to time, Medicare will release updates to the Medicare Benefits Schedule. Likewise, other organisations such as private health funds and WorkCover agencies also release fee schedule updates, sometimes multiple times throughout the year. This page is intended to advise you when new fee schedules have been received by us, even if they haven’t made it into Gentu itself yet.

Did you know?
When new fee schedules are released by Medicare, health funds, and WorkCover, they are not always provided to Genie Solutions. As a result, our team needs to track these schedules down so that they can then be processed into an appropriate format and made available for use in Gentu. This process can be quite in-depth and occasionally time-consuming, but you can rest assured - we're always doing our best to try and have these schedules available to you as soon as possible.

Different Status Meanings
Available in Gentu: If a schedule’s status shows 'Available in Gentu', we believe we have the most up-to-date fees for the corresponding schedule, and these are already in Gentu for use.
Processing: If the status shows 'Processing', the fund/organisation has recently released a new fee schedule. While this new schedule is not yet available in Gentu, we have obtained the updated schedule and are processing the file into a format readable by Gentu. This file will then undergo testing before it is published in Gentu, available for your billing!
Issues Found: In rare cases, issues may be found during our processing and testing of a schedule. These issues may be a corrupt file, a result of the processing done to the schedule prior to this reaching us, or it may be as a result of the processing after reaching us. In any case, if a schedule reaches this status, we will endeavour to resolve the issues if in our power, or we will work with the fund/organisation to obtain a file that we can work with if the issue within the schedule was present prior to reaching us.

Note: Not all the above-listed fee schedules will be available to you within Gentu, as some schedules are state-specific (such as HBF, WorkSafe).
*ADF Health Services (formally known as Garrison Health by Medibank Health Solutions) fees will be applicable for services rendered 1 July 2019 onward.
**Garrison Health fees will no longer be updated, as the contract between ADF and Medibank Health Solutions will cease from 1 July 2019. Services rendered after this date must be billed through Bupa's online portal, with the fees available by downloading the ADF Health schedule. For more information on this change, please refer to the ADF Health Services article.
