Changes to GU Health
As of the 1st of November 2018, GU Health will no longer be under the AHSA umbrella and will instead use their own independent fee schedule.
GU Health will no longer use the AHSA Gap (‘per item’ gap) for Known Gap invoices. Instead, GU Health Known Gap claims will use a flat ‘per invoice’ gap.
Any practices that bill Known Gap health fund accounts to GU Health will therefore be affected.
What do you need to do?
We strongly recommend that you bill and finalise any Known Gap GU Health accounts before 31 October 2018.
If you need to retrospectively bill a Known Gap GU Health account after 1 November, you will no longer see the ‘Apply AHSA Gap’ option on the invoice. Instead, it would be necessary to manually calculate and apply the per item gap for any accounts with a service date prior to 1 November.
