How do I create a new Health Fund?
To add a Health Fund which isn't already included in Gentu's list of funds, navigate to the Settings module and click Health Funds.
Next, click the Create New button at the top right of this page, and enter the name of the Health Fund, then confirm this name by clicking Create.
Gentu will create the Fund and produce a list of users for your practice under the heading Practitioner Details.
The next step is to set the correct fee schedule for this fund, as well as details about each practitioners agreement with the Health Fund and any applicable 'gap' amounts.
To do this, click on the relevant 'User' under Practitioner Details to edit their details.
Select the Fee Schedule relevant for this fund, set your Billing Type and any applicable Maximum Known Gap, as well as any other details relevant for your fund. Once you have confirmed these details, click Save.
Repeat this process for each practitioner who has an agreement with the fund.
Once this is complete, you should be able to set the fund in Patient details, and Gentu will automatically generate fees for this fund when creating invoices.
How do I set ECLIPSE details for a new Health Fund?
If you are registered for ECLIPSE in Gentu, you will be able to submit claims directly to a fund via your Gentu application. When a practice registers for ECLIPSE, Gentu will automatically populate your Gentu database with all ECLIPSE-enabled health funds (in Settings > Health Funds). This means that you do not need to set up each ECLIPSE-capable fund individually, as Gentu does it for you.
Not all Health Funds support ECLIPSE. If you are registered for ECLIPSE and are unable to find a Health Fund in Gentu's list of funds, it is likely that they are not ECLIPSE-capable, which means you will need to submit any claims manually. You can find a list of Private Health Insurers currently using ECLIPSE, along with their details, on the Health Professionals portal of the Department of Human Services website.
The Gentu team regularly updates the ECLIPSE functionality to reflect new funds and other changes to current ECLIPSE-capable funds.
