Dec 12 2017 – November MBS Update
- The December 2017 MBS and DVA fee schedules are now available in Gentu.
- The November/December 2017 private health fund fee schedules are now available in Gentu.
- Updated Gentu’s ‘Deceased’ patient demographic functions:
- Updated DOD (date of death) entry field.
- Gentu no longer requires DOD for patients marked ‘deceased’.
- Fixed a bug where ‘deceased’ could not be unticked.
- Updated the way Gentu handles multiple users interacting with an Appointment at the same time.
- Updated how the DVA details panel in Patient Details displays.
- Fixed a bug where Gentu wasn’t respecting the fee chosen for certain assistant items.
- Fixed a bug where claimed items which were overpaid, weren’t able to have their fee adjusted up.
Dec 15 2017 – Updated Assistant Item Overrides
- We fixed an issue where setting 10 minute appointment intervals in settings wouldn't allow users to select 10 minute intervals when creating appointments.
- We updated override settings for assistant items so that overrides which aren't valid for assistant items are never displayed.
- Ensured that all health funds correctly assign a default fee schedule.
- Fixed an issue affecting the validation of last names when signing up for Gentu.
Dec 8 2017 – Letter Editor Updates
- We've updated our letter editor to improve stability and address some inconsistencies when editing documents. The letter editor now has better support for line spacing between paragraphs and improved list bullet styling. The handling of references has also been improved.
- The letter editor now allows you to use tab to indent text in a document.
- The letter editor has improved support for the copy and pasting of text from Word documents.
- The letter editor now uses points for font sizes rather than pixels.
- We fixed an issue where it wasn't possible to clear Sonic or Argus credentials if a username and password was entered but the practice doesn't have an account.
- Fixed an issue where images in practice letterhead weren't being displayed on quotes or deposits.
- We released a fix to address an issue where references could generate without a space between each entry. If you experience this issue you can easily rectify the issue by navigating to Settings > Letter Templates and then opening and saving each template.
Dec 1 2017 – Updated SMS Reminders
- Fixed an issue where items could return $0.00 fees for account or billing types with no schedule fee for the selected Health Fund.
- Made a change to ensure that a gap can be applied to a quote without first selecting a servicing provider.
- We've updated the SMS Appointment Reminder service. Appointments will now send SMS reminders after they are moved, even if an SMS reminder has previously been sent.
- Fixed an issue where it wasn't possible to delete the Healthlink Identifier from Practice Details.
- Ensured that the emergency contact details were properly listed on the Theatre List.
Nov 17 2017 – Edit Attachment Names
- We've updated the November MBS and DVA fee schedules.
- It is now possible to change the name and date of attachments after they have been uploaded. Simply select the attachment in the patient's clinical record and click the pencil icon to edit it.
- Gentu now allows you to create multiple emergency contacts for a patient (previously this was limited to two). We've also updated how emergency contacts are added to be consistent with the rest of the patient details page.
- We've changed the way that images in letters, letter templates, letterhead and quote templates are stored.
- We fixed an issue which would cause some buttons to become misaligned.
Nov 10 2017 – Export Financial Report
- We’re pleased to announce that users are now able to easily export the Financial Report. With the simple click of a button, you can output key elements of Gentu’s Financial Report as a simple, downloadable CSV (comma separated values) file which can be opened by most modern spreadsheet software.
- We’ve added room for additional Case Manager details in the Third Party Claims area.
- Improved Gentu’s online claiming auto-receipt system. Gentu will now flag claims where an automatic receipt couldn’t be processed for you to follow up.
- Gentu will now save the Medicare Overrides and Service Text for an item as soon as you click ‘Apply’ in the Override window, to avoid scenarios where adjusting items could delete recently added overrides. Gentu was having some issues remembering legacy fee schedules. We made some
- updates so that Gentu will correctly adjust legacy fees on an invoice as soon as you change an item’s Service Date.
- We fixed an issue where Gentu wouldn't allow users to remove recurring events in the Appointment Schedule.
Nov 03 2017 – Pending Lab Results
- We've updated the MBS Schedule for October.
- We've created the ability for incoming diagnostic reports to be marked as pending and moved into a separate section to assist in managing diagnostic reports in Gentu.
- Fixed an issue where Safari users were unable to print the appointment book.
- We've updated the procedure selection drop-down to improve the readability of search results.
- We've fixed an issue where Title and Last name would not populate on letters in certain circumstances.
- We made changes to ensure that the time field when creating a new procedure will only accept values which are legitimate times. Procedures will now also clearly indicate when required fields have not been entered.
- We've corrected an issue where assisting doctors required a business name in their address book entry, as well as updating the tool-tips when invoicing as an assistant to ensure they display properly.
- We've updated the Financial Report so that balance transfers messages properly display the name of the account holder.
- We fixed an issue where ticking and un-ticking a user in the 'User Columns' settings page would send the user an email.
- We updated address book entries for businesses so that the 'business name' is now required and the 'last name' is now optional.
- We made some changes to ensure that compatibility warnings are properly displayed for browsers which aren't Safari or Chrome.
- We updated the Multi-Factor Authentication pop-up to improve readability.
- We updated how Consult Notes are displayed in Clinical to improve readability.
- We've fixed an issue where correspondence wasn't able to be previewed in full screen mode.
- Providers now require a provider number in order to submit claims.
- We've made improvements to auto-receipting so that it accepts leading zeros in the account reference.
- We've made changes to ensure the PCI Lodgement form includes the date of claim generation.
- We've made some improvements to how Health Funds are imported as contacts.
- We've removed the ability to create a duplicate default letter template or letterhead.
- We fixed an issue where some details of Consult Notes would run over the edge of a page when printing.
Sep 21 2017 – Password Requirements
- Made a change to the password creation rules. Passwords now require at least one character from three of the following categories: Uppercase, lowercase, numeric and special characters.
- Resolved an issue that prevented the validation working when passwords were too short.
- Deleting a custom item that was included in a billing set will no longer cause errors when attempting to load or use that set.
- Street 2 of addresses should now correctly print on a separate line to street 1 on invoices and quotes.
Sep 26 2017 – Print patient clinical record
- We've made it possible to print out some basic patient details, as well as a full list of clinical infomation and consultation notes.
- You can now update the fees for individual items on custom fee schedules via the Billing Items & Fee Schedules menu in Settings.
- Resolved an issue that would show unusual content in the search suggestions for some fields.
- Printing a letter which failed to send will no longer generate a 'successfully sent' message.
Sep 15 2017 – SMS Custom Fee Schedules
- Added the ability to create and select custom fee schedules for billing.
- Added an ‘As Of’ filter to the Unresolved Invoices page.
- Added the ability to hide/show deleted procedures from the clinical history window.
- Imported the September MBS and DVA fee schedule.
- Prevent deleting a schedule twice (when working across multiple tabs) from causing an error.
- Ensure all claims related to a payment report are present prior to attempting to auto receipt.
- Prevent the $0 warning icon from display in invoices when the fee isn’t actually $0.
- Prevented some internal errors from occurring when uploading an AMA schedule.
Sep 1 2017 – Rejected Claim Handling
- Fixed an issue with the August 2017 BUPA fees.
- Fixed our claiming service so that it can deal with receiving payment reports for rejected claims.
Sep 12 2017 – Printing in Safari
- Changed the way that we handle printing in Safari to accommodate for the newest version.
- Stopped errors from displaying if a schedule in the appointment book is deleted twice (multiple tabs).
- Updated to the latest BUPA fee schedule.
- Prevented the incorrect addressee name from printing on receipts. Receipts will now also include any service text that has been added to items.
- Fixed an issue that was causing 1 hour differences when attempting to use the time-picker in the appointment book.
Aug 8 2017 – Third Party Claim Details
- It is now possible to save third party claim details against a patient!
- Fixed the date field in the refund deposit modal so it now correctly accepts a valid date.
- Fixed an issue that enabled “Other” type invoices to be created without an account holder selected.
Jul 17 2017 – Delete Referral Attachments
- Users are now able to delete individually-uploaded, "Referral" type attachments from the patient Clinical tab. (Deleting the attachment will not affect the referral entry in the patient’s details.)
- When you delete a referral from Patient Details, the referral attachment will be deleted as well (if applicable).
- Updated the Financial Report to fix an issue where invoices with previously deleted custom billing items were not appearing.
Jun 23 2017 – Claiming Workflow
- Manually added billing items 60506, 60507 and 60509 to the Medibank Private and AHM fee schedule, as these items are not included by the funds.
- We are now saving the provider number against each claim when it is generated, to prevent issues occurring if the site of service is changed afterwards.
- Removed the WAGMSS fee schedules.
- Ensured that the account holder’s Medicare details are properly validated when generating a patient claim.
- Fixed the alignment of some of the tooltips that appear upon mouse hover.
- Adjusted the grey coloured text in the Financial report to make it more readable.

The May 2017 private health fund fee schedules have now been imported into Gentu. The following health funds were updated:
- AHSA
- BUPA
- HCF Known Gap
- HCF No Gap
- St. Luke's Health
- Medibank Private
- Australian Health Management.
May 31 2017 – Updated Assistant Billing
- To simplify the billing process, it is now not possible to manually add certain assistant items (51300 & 51303) to an invoice.
- You can now use the Enter/Return key to select the assistant when adding an assistant item.
- Resolved an issue where clicking Claim was not opening the Claim window immediately under certain circumstances.
May 18 2017 – Reclaiming items
- Issued a fix which improves the way Gentu handles reclaimed items. Reclaimed items will now be marked as resolved and moved into Finalised.
- 'Other' type invoices (organisational invoices) now allow you to include Referral details.
- Improved Gentu's validation process for reclaiming items.
- Improved Gentu's handling of servicing provider details when creating a quote from an invoice.
- Made a change to prevent invalid mobile numbers from using SMS credits.
Apr 20 2017 – Inpatient Quotes
- Adjusted the position of the address on invoices and quotes to re-align it with envelope windows.
- Fixed an issue that prevented the inpatient option from being saved in quotes.
- Fixed the alignment of the Add dropdown menu.
- Fixed the format of the service time sent through in claims.
- Fixed an issue that was causing errors to appear if a user changed the service date on an item prior to adding an assistant item.
- Made an adjustment to the ERA retrieval service to prevent errors caused by daylight savings ending.
Apr 11 2017 – Quote to Invoice
- Introduced Quote to Invoice, a feature which allows you to create invoices from your existing surgical quotes with a few simple clicks. See this article for more information.
- Introduced the day sheet print-out: you can now print a list of appointments for any given day, right from your Appointment Book.
- Updated the way that Gentu sends Medicare 'aftercare' type overrides for Bulk Bill and Patient Claims.

Apr 4 2017 – Validated attachment uploads
- When uploading attachments, Gentu will now perform a validation check to ensure there are no special characters in the file name.
- When saving a provider's settings, Gentu will no longer reset the health fund details.
- You can now successfully add assistant items to existing quotes.
- Gentu will now ensure that duplicate recipients are not added to the same letter.
- Introducing Recalls in Gentu! You can now view Recalls conveniently from the My Day panel, and add new recalls to a patient by selecting Add > Recall.
Mar 28 2017 – Service text for assistant items
- Updated the way Gentu handles certain resubmitted claims. Claims which have not received a processing report for over 90 days, and that have been resubmitted, will now be moved into the Finalised section of Claims Control.
- To simplify assistant billing, assistant item details (including the principal surgeon's provider number and surgical items) will no longer appear in the user-editable Item Service Text field. However the surgeon's information and the surgical item numbers will still be printed on invoices and transmitted in online claims.
Mar 21 2017 – Cumulative lab results
- Gentu will now prevent users from deleting custom health funds that have been attached to an invoice.
- Gentu will now only create user health fund details if that user is a billing provider.
- Item descriptions will now only display up to two lines when creating/viewing invoices and quotes. Hovering the mouse cursor over a shortened description will display the full text.
- Resolved an issue that caused all day appointments to display at 12am if they were given an appointment type.
- Updated Gentu's automatic claim receipting process.
- Updated Gentu's handling of certain HL7 files. Users can now successfully receive and view cumulative results sent via Sonic.

- Updated letter references - you can now include patient phone number (mobile, work and home) references in your letter templates.

Mar 7 2017 – HBF Fee Schedule Update
- Adjusted HBF’s default fee schedules so that WA uses the 'HBF fully covered' schedule, and all other states use the AHSA schedule, according to the health fund’s recent changes.
Mar 3 2017 – Automatic MPR on Rebates
- Improved the performance and loading time of the Outgoing Correspondence list.
- Gentu will now automatically calculate the multiple procedure rule (MPR) for item rebate amounts. The 'Apply MPR' button can still be used to apply the MPR to item fees as needed.
- Resolved an issue that prevented Healthlink letters from sending if a Message Type was not selected.
- Improved Gentu's ability to diagnose electronic correspondence sending errors.

- Introduced the redesigned invoice screen. Vouchers have been removed, and you can now set service dates per item.
Feb 7 2017 – Manually Mark Exceptions Resolved & Multiple Letterheads
- AHM fee schedule updated to latest version.
- Custom billing items will now be retained on past invoices, even if the custom billing item is removed via Settings.
- The ability to manually mark claim exceptions as resolved has been adjusted and re-enabled.
- Multiple letterhead templates are now available in Gentu.
