It’s been one of our most long-awaited features, and now it’s here! After much testing and hard work from our wonderful Gentu team, Patient Claiming has been released. This officially completes Gentu’s fully-integrated Medicare Online Claiming suite.
With the release of Patient Claims, Gentu practices will now be able to transmit a patient’s Medicare claim online on the patient’s behalf - right at the time of invoicing! Not only does this mean the patient gets their rebate as soon as possible (and without having to visit Medicare), but it also saves you and your staffs’ time and effort during your clinic's busiest periods.
To send a patient’s claim online, you’ll now find the shiny new Pay & Claim button in the bottom-right of the invoice (see the screenshot below). By default, this button will let you receipt all or part of the patient's invoice, and will then transmit their claim to Medicare. This ensures that the patient's rebate is processed and deposited into their nominated bank account as soon as possible.
If you don't wish to charge the patient on the day, just click the little arrow next to the Pay & Claim button (see the screenshot below), giving you the option to Claim Only. You can also use the Pay Only option if you don’t want this claim to be sent online.
