This section contains a list of questions we are frequently asked in relation to Appointments.
Can you delete Appointment Types?
Currently it is not possible to delete Appointment Types, however you are able to rename them. This means that you can reuse an Appointment Type if you no longer need it.
Please note: This change will take effect immediately, and any Appointments that you have booked using the original Appointment Type will be renamed. This should be considered if you were using the appointment type to categorise patients, or if you would want to report on the original Appointment Type in the future.
- Open Settings > Appointment Types
- Click on the Appointment Type you wish to rename
- Type the new name into the Name field
- Click Save
Can I mark an appointment as DNA/Did Not Arrive?
Yes. Gentu has a number of inbuilt appointment statuses which you can use to indicate the status of a patient appointment. The statuses are:
- In waiting room
- Did not arrive
You can set the appointment status by clicking on an appointment to view its details, then selecting the relevant status from the Appointment Status drop down menu.
